Injuries: I just started seriously training again last summer, and I was too aggressive with the way I was training. As a result, I pulled both hamstrings in series (as one healed, I blew out the other). To add insult, I suffered a broken ankle playing basketball last October, and as a result, I was playing catch-up with my conditioning program well into July 2005.

Reasons Goals: This started out as an impulse to run and train with my 13 year old daughter who was running 67 second 400's as an 11 year-old! Now I am simply doing this for the fun of seeing how close I can get to my speed when I was 18 years old. The fact that I am getting into terrific shape is an added benefit.

Comments: Don't overtrain. Be patient with the conditioning program, and the results will follow. Pushing too hard too soon will surely result in injury.
