Former Occupations: Director of a Housing Assistance Program

Family: Wife (Sherri), adult son (Eli) and daughter (Katie), two grandchildren (Waverly & Griffin)

HS Track: Yes

High School and Events: James Madison HS, Brooklyn - 220 (22.4) and 4 x 220 Relay

College Track: No

College and Events: Social Activism

College Achievements: Kicked out of college twice. Once for "not being within the ethical standards" of the school and the second "for calling for the destruction of the college, society and western social organization." Twice they tried and twice they failed, thus I have a BS from Springfield College, class of 1971.

Age Started Masters: 50

Masters Achievements: Completed most seasons without injury and continue to compete despite bad knees. I am a USATF Level I Certified Track Coach

Track Club: Mass Velocity Track Club. The rumor that I founded MVTC because no other club would have me is totally false!

Injuries: When I first started I blew out a calf, quads on both legs. Suffered Plantar Fasciitis twice. Also, if that weren't enough I ran an entire indoor season with a broken foot! Knees have very little cartilage left. Other than that I'm in great shape.

Reasons Goals: While warming up, getting into the blocks and as the gun goes off I feel like I'm back in high school again. What a feeling! However at about the 120m mark of a 200m I begin to seriously question my sanity. I guess I'm a junkie for those highs before the reality and the pain sets in. It's also a great motivator in my quest to get and stay in shape.
